Stage 1

  • Bret remained patient throughout the first stage, communicating the truck's handling with crew chief, Mike Shiplett. During pit stops, the team made adjustments to the truck and Bret would finish Stage 1 in P25.

Stage 2

  • Managing to catch the draft, Bret drove the Precision Garage Door No.32 through traffic, using the lane's momentum to gain positions throughout the second stage.

  • On lap 60, McAnally-Hilgemann Racing's, Jack Wood, truck gets too tight in turn four and he forces Bret into the wall. While Wood's went spinning, Bret managed to control the No.32 truck and sustained minor damage to the front left quarter panel and the front right bumper.

  • Bret finishes Stage 2 in P18.

Final Stage

  • As the race went single-file, Bret stayed behind Thorsport Racing's driver, Matt Crafton, until the final quarter of the race.

  • Using restarts to his advantage, Bret found the momentum on the outside line to climb his way into a P11 finish, his best at Atlanta Motor Speedway to date.
