Race Stats:
Time & Conditions: 7:00 PM CT | 74°F | Broken Clouds | 3 MPH Winds
Starting Position & Results: P28 | P31 | P22 | P13
Stage 1
As soon as the green flag flew, trucks began to bump and rub, and Holmes found himself stuck in traffic. Unable to advance, the No. 32 truck fell in line as the trucks up front began to distance themselves from the pack. Holmes would finish the stage in P31.
Stage 2
After the pit crew made adjustments during the caution, Holmes was able to pilot the truck around traffic, putting himself in better positions throughout the stage. With no caution until the stage was nearly over, the truck proved it could handle long runs on the short track.
Final Stage
Early in the final stage, Holmes found success in the lower lane and gained positions before the caution lights flashed. On each restart, Holmes was able to grab a position or two, advancing steadily until the end of the race. Pit strategy and caution laps helped keep the truck out of the pit during the final stretch. At the end of the race, Holmes would finish P13, +15 spots from his starting position.
